Entry有朋自遠方来 不亦楽 | Good friends from U.S.

Flickrを通じてお知り合いになったstsnckさん。アメリカからご夫婦で来日され、螢窯にもお立ち寄りいただきました。
日本人の奥様はもとよりご主人も日本文化や陶芸に大変お詳しくて、焼き物のお話しから日米の文化比較まで、楽しいおしゃべりの中とても有意義な時間を共有させていただきました。
今回はこのあと福岡、信楽、多治見と続く陶芸巡りの旅とのことで、須恵器を中心とした私の作品にも触れていただくことができて嬉しかったです。
stsnckさん、道中お気をつけて。そして、またぜひお会いしましょう。

    Stsnck-SAN and I became friends through Flickr.
    This time, Mr. and Mrs. stsnck visit my atelier, from U.S.
    They are very detailed Japanese culture and pottery, we talked such as pottery and differences between Japanese and Western culture, so we have a good time to share fun.

Entryあけましておめでとうございます | A Happy New Year

日の出

トラは人間の生活や文化の中で強く気高く雄々しい動物として存在してきました。
「草食系男子」なる単語も生まれる世の中にあっては
中々トラのようにはいかない昨今ではありますが、
"強さ"は私の憧れです。
五日間の窯焚きで知った自分の弱さ‥。
心を鍛え、雄々しくありたいと願う新年です。

一月の福井西武から始まる個展。広島、東京、下関、博多、長崎へとむかいます。
どうぞ、皆様よろしくご高覧ください。

大阪府阪南市の浪花酒造の純米吟醸原酒「さか松」のラベルを揮毫させていただきました。

    By referral from a friend, I drew the label for the sake "SAKA-MATSU".

Entry中国への旅 | A Goodwill Trip to China

2009年8月16日から22日の一週間、「木原書会 訪中団」の一員として、中国に行ってきました。

    I've been on an inspection tour to China, August 16 to 22 2009.
    I went on a trip to join the group of Mr.Kihara, my master.
    We have conducted exchanges with people from local artists.

    The trip was very productive for me.
